The largest and most comprehensive showcase of architecture, interior design, and landscaping in the Americas has arrived in Rio de Janeiro. From September 24 to November 24, CASACOR Rio de Janeiro @casacorrio_oficial takes place at Fashion Mall, Estrada da Gávea, 899 – São Conrado.
With the theme “The present as a gift,” CASACOR 2024 invites you not only to discover trends in the world of interior design but to immerse yourself in history and (re)discover Rio’s architecture.
In this 33rd edition, the event occupies a 6,000-square-meter space, featuring 48 residential environments, green areas, and common spaces designed for residents with views of the golf course, the beach, and Pedra da Gávea.
And, of course, attuned to all modern architecture trends, Novo Ambiente could not be absent. We are present in 8 environments designed by some of the most renowned architects on the Brazilian scene.

LOFT ORIGENS by Rafael Ramos
Architect Rafael Ramos @rafaelramosarquitetura debuts at CasaCor Rio 2024 presenting Loft Origens, a contemporary residential space of 110m2, designed for a man who enjoys living in a large metropolis but also appreciates contact with nature. “This loft says a lot about myself. I was raised on Ilha da Gipóia, in Angra dos Reis, surrounded by nature. I always dreamed of having an urban home, but since I didn’t want to give up contact with greenery and the sea, I chose Rio de Janeiro,” Rafael explains.
The Abraço Armchair by Zanine, the Ajax cart, the Ilha sofa, the Flock lamp by Moooi, the Ferrão lamp, the Knitty armchair by Moooi, the Tropos armchair, the Bauhaus Bed, the João chair, the Geen A Lamp by Ferruccio Laviani, the Pomme sofa, the Monte Cuco coffee table, and the Orla Office chair, distributed by Novo Ambiente, are part of the project created by Rafael Ramos for the 2024 Rio de Janeiro design showcase.
CASA DARYA by Beta Arquitetura
Architects Bernardo Gaudie-Ley and Tânia Braida @betaarquitetura present “Casa Darya,” an environment conceived as a refuge where time, soul, and mind meet in perfect harmony—fundamental pillars that guide the project. The 110m² environment takes its name from a Persian deity meaning “She who cares for what she loves and has,” representing the care and preservation of what is precious, reflected in an architecture that proposes to be a home. Its identity has great charm and is defined by a rich mixture of textures, colors, and materials, where landscaping, craftsmanship, and art unite to create a sophisticated, simple, and harmonious space. Every detail is designed to welcome and inspire, inviting introspection and connection with the present. “Casa Darya challenges the rush of modern life, inviting us to slow down and value each moment. Here, living becomes a complete sensory experience, where each element of the space connects to our emotions, celebrating the simplicity, elegance, and depth of being,” the architects explain.
The Chapada Sofa by Roberta Banqueri, the Agda Chair, the Geo Bench, the Oscar Tea Cart by Linda Martins, the Kim Bench, the Leme side table, the Zeca Armchair, the Lótus Bed, the Eclipse dining table, and the Tobb lamp, distributed by Novo Ambiente, are part of the project created by Bernardo Gaudie-Ley and Tânia Braida for the 2024 Rio de Janeiro design showcase.
LOFT REFÚGIO URBANO by Fernando Lanner Arquitetura
The project by @FernandoLannerArquitetura brings the idea of a cave to CasaCor Rio 2024: it is the Loft Refúgio Urbano, a 130m² space designed to be the home of a contemporary, independent, and cosmopolitan woman. “Our project translates into a modern cave—technological, rustic, and elegant. A space inspired by the Atlantic Forest, with all its organicity and exuberance,” says architect Fernando Lanner, who also executed the construction of the space together with partner Lúcia Gonçalves. For him, the exhibition’s theme, “The present as a gift,” is revealed in the space through respect and admiration for nature, valuing a life in harmony with the environment and adopting technologies that facilitate this process of interaction and connection.
The Abby Bed by Luan Del Savio, the Caju coffee table, the Caju Armchair, and the Marina dining table, distributed by Novo Ambiente, are part of the project created by Fernando Lanner and Lucia Gonçalves for the 2024 Rio de Janeiro design showcase.
ART&GOURMET by Andrea Duarte and Anna Malta
A space that welcomes and seems to invite conversation around the table. The Living Art&Gourmet, by Andrea Duarte and Anna Malta @andreanevesduarte and @annamaltainteriores, integrates veranda, living room, kitchen, and wine cellar, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment where guests feel at home.
The inspiration came from the trend of homes with open and integrated spaces, where it is possible to enjoy moments of the cooking experience and share with friends and family, returning to the time when the kitchen was the best place in the house.
“The present as a gift brings us memories of our ancestors, the legacy left behind, principles we must honor, value, and understand that happiness and comfort are found in gatherings around the table, in good food, and in recipes that pass through generations and always bring us the desire to be with those we love,” Andrea and Anna explain.
The Panama Chair, the Carioca Stool, the Palheta dining table, the Mera Chair, and the Peixe-Boi Bench, distributed by Novo Ambiente, are part of the project created by Andrea Duarte and Anna Malta for the 2024 Rio de Janeiro design showcase.
ESTÚDIO DA ESTILISTA by Marcela Martins
The talented architect Marcela Martins created a space full of charm for CasaCor Rio.
The studio was inspired by the Farm stylist and, of course, could not fail to bring plenty of color and personality.
The chaise from the Yang sofa, the 351 pouf, the Malu desk, the Cooper sofa, the Sapucaia bed, the Papyrus chair, the Uru chair by Luan Del Salvio, the C406 dining table, the Ghost Buster dresser, and the Componibili drawer unit, distributed by Novo Ambiente, are part of the project created by Andrea Duarte and Anna Malta for the 2024 Rio de Janeiro design showcase.
ESTÚDIO URUPÊS by Paula Müller
With 54m2, the Estúdio Urupês designed by Paula Müller Lobato @paulamullerarquiteta at CasaCor Rio 2024 is the architect’s tribute to her Lobato family, on her father’s side, through a literary work by Monteiro Lobato, originally published in 1918. At the time, the book brought together 14 short stories, one of them being “Urupês,” which gave life to what would become the writer’s most famous character: the caboclo Jeca Tatu. “The studio is a projection in the present day of what Jeca Tatu’s home would be like—a naive man, without any education, careless about his appearance and personal hygiene, always barefoot, full of superstitions and a victim of government neglect—if all the writer’s demands were met. The space therefore materializes the evolution of this character until he becomes a symbol of work and prosperity,” Paula explains.

ESTÚDIO DO COLECIONADOR by Chicô Gouvea
Chicô Gouvea @chicogouvea, a collector who spent decades gathering books, pieces of Brazilian folk art, and objects found on travels around the world, conceived the Estúdio do Colecionador, a studio in which a great art dealer would like to present works to his clients. In a 65m2 space, there is a living room for conversation, work, and dining, a kitchen counter, a bed, a reading nook, and a bathroom.
“Since I was young, I always heard people say it was absurd to hang a painting on a wall that wasn’t white or beige. But today we see colors on the walls of some of the world’s leading museums, such as the Musée d’Orsay, the Rijksmuseum, and the National Gallery, revisiting the great houses of the 18th and 19th centuries, which had colored walls as a backdrop for works of art. I think that when it comes to color, there are no restrictions, obligations, or prohibitions. Color is affection, but people still have difficulty accepting it in projects,” comments Chicô Gouvêa.

LIVING CASA SHOPPING by Paola Ribeiro
With the stunning view of São Conrado as inspiration, Paola Ribeiro @paolaribeirointeriores presents an innovative space at CASACOR Rio 2024. Contemporary and elegant, named Living Casa Shopping, the environment was designed to represent Casa Shopping, transforming into a spacious integrated living area that combines dining room, gourmet space, and powder room in a fluid and harmonious manner.
“This year, my environment represents Casa Shopping, and my intention was to create a contemporary space that highlights the diversity of pieces available in the shopping center’s stores. It is a celebration of the infinite possibilities that Casa Shopping offers,” Paola explains.
