DW! Rio 2026: A week to discover the new directions of Brazilian design.

Publicado em 10 de August de 2026

Between August 11 and 16, Novo Ambiente takes part in DW! Rio 2026, presenting a selection of launches that brings together different perspectives on contemporary Brazilian design.

Throughout the week, new collections by Rejane Carvalho, Dona Flor Mobília, and Zanini de Zanine will be on view in our showroom at Casa Shopping, bringing architects, designers, and specifiers closer to research practices that share a focus on material, drawing, and the way furniture participates in space.

Cória: a new cycle in Rejane Carvalho’s work

Inspired by autochory, a natural phenomenon in which certain fruits ripen while still attached to the plant that gave rise to them until they gain the strength to begin a new cycle, the collection represents a new chapter in Rejane Carvalho’s professional trajectory.

After years devoted to product development and collaborations with industry, the designer presents an authorial body of work that expands her research into ergonomics, structure, wood, and the experience of use.

This thinking runs through the entire collection, composed of different typologies that share the same attention to proportion and construction. Highlights include the Umburana family, the Yopo Armchair, and the new version of the Guatambu Chair, pieces that reveal different ways of working the relationship between wood, upholstery, and design—always with precise solutions and a strong commitment to comfort.

To mark the launch, Novo Ambiente welcomes Rejane Carvalho on August 11 at 4 PM for a talk moderated by Renata Zappellini. The conversation will explore the collection’s creative process, the relationship between memory, materiality, and Brazilian design, as well as the references that guided the development of the new pieces.

DonaFlor expands its repertoire for outdoor living

Another highlight of the week is the new launches from DonaFlor Mobília,
which presents different collections designed for outdoor areas.

Signed by different designers—such as Nildo José, Juliana Pippi, Linda Martins, among others—the new pieces expand the brand’s repertoire for gardens, verandas, and terraces, bringing together designs that meet the demands of outdoor environments without sacrificing comfort or the quality of the line. Armchairs, sofas, tables, and occasional pieces form a selection that allows for different configurations of use, from gathering to rest, while maintaining unity across materials, finishes, and proportions.

The diversity of authors and typologies reinforces Dona Flor’s perspective on outdoor furniture conceived through flexibility and the relationship between architecture and landscape.

Zanini de Zanine: material, permanence, and authorship

The new launches by Zanini de Zanine also join Novo Ambiente’s selection during DW! Rio. The Banco Longo, in its new version for outdoor areas, is one of the highlights, and is part of a group of pieces that reaffirms the designer’s research into wood, construction, and permanence.

In the collection, different typologies explore wood as both a structural and expressive element, combining it with materials such as leather, cane, and stainless steel in a precise, balanced way. The pieces avoid excess and concentrate their strength in proportion, build quality, and the way each detail contributes to the whole.

It is a body of work that underscores a recurring aspect of Zanini’s practice: the closeness between furniture and sculpture, without losing sight of function and the everyday experience of use.

We look forward to seeing you at DW! Rio

All week long, our showroom will be open to welcome architects, designers, specifiers, and everyone interested in experiencing the launches up close.

Beyond the new collections, it’s an opportunity to observe materials, finishes, and construction details that help tell the story of each piece, as well as to attend the talk with Rejane Carvalho on August 11 at 4 PM.

We look forward to welcoming you to Novo Ambiente, at Casa Shopping, between August 11 and 16.
