Eames Executive Chair

Charles and Ray Eames

Luxurious Comfort

Comfort comes first with the Eames Executive Chair. The seat features foam cushions 11 cm thick; the backrest cushions are 7.6 cm thick. The armrests are well padded.

The adjustable seat height, tilt and swivel mechanism, and five-star base enhance comfort. Available with casters or glides so the chairs can function well in a conference room, boardroom, conversation areas, or behind a desk.

It’s All in the Details

This luxury chair exemplifies Charles Eames’s belief that “the details are not the details, they make the product.” Generously sized, the executive work chair features a lightweight aluminum frame and base and is upholstered in leather or fabric, finely accented with covered buttons and detailing typical of traditional fine furniture.

The Time-Life Chair

Designers Charles and Ray Eames created the Executive work chairs—also known as Time-Life chairs—in 1960. The chairs, along with the Eames Walnut Stools, took their place in the three ultramodern reception areas of the Time-Life Building.

Expansion Options

Give this timeless design a high degree of customization with its expandable material options. Among them is the leather texture, standard or premium MCL, a semi-aniline dyed leather with 100% natural grain. Color variations and surface markings are an inherent characteristic of this material, which acquires wrinkles and creases and develops a patina over time.

To complement the lighter materials, we offer powder-coated finishes on the base and frame in white and graphite, along with traditional polished aluminum.
