NOVO AMBIENTE presents the “Poesia Collection” by Juliana Pippi
During São Paulo Design Week 2023, the architect from Santa Catarina launches her first
furniture collection exclusively at the showroom

A benchmark in contemporary furniture, the group works with designers renowned both in Brazil and abroad, and is always attentive to the latest trends.
On March 11, during DW! 12th São Paulo Design Week, the Novo Ambiente showroom in São Paulo will exclusively present the launch of the Poesia Collection, the first furniture production designed by architect Juliana Pippi from Santa Catarina. The products will be sold by NOVO AMBIENTE in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
“Poesia” is a tribute to the women of Brazilian literature for whom the professional has deep admiration. Five writers inspired the creation of the furniture typologies, both in the habit of reading and in the composition of the writers’ verses. The harmonious cadence of words and images unfolds into five distinct lines for these introspective moments.
The textual—the meter of a verse—marked by rhythm and rhyme, differentiates the contours of the furniture, the materials used, and the lines that cross, sometimes in oval and rounded parallel slats, other times orthogonal. The “Poesia” collection brings the essence of writing in five versions: Alice (Ruiz), Cecília (Meireles), Cora (Coralina), Hilda (Hilst), and Clarice Lispector.
Verses and forms
Designed to be used as a centerpiece in the bedroom or next to the wall, the Alice line bed is self-supporting. Structured with vertical oval slats that bring lightness to the headboard panel, the base and support feet follow the same curvilinear direction. Bedside tables, dresser, media console, and desk complete the setting.
Cecília gives her name to the bookshelf with fluid lines and customizable shelf measurements and finishes. The Cora series Bar embraces the playful nature of literary poetry. Minimalism simplifies the form of the mirrors and coat racks in the Hilda collection, with striking poetic rigor.
The Clarice line, named after the landmark modernist writer, proposes more enclosed volumes in a direct relationship with architecture, featuring latticed doors and drawers.
Among the raw materials selected by the architect, the slats and exposed structures are in solid natural tauari wood, and the drawers are finished in natural oak veneer or fresno leather. Inside the furniture, a layer of matte lacquer in the new “Pétala” color—named by Juliana—complements the finish from all angles and perspectives.
Elected by the World Design Rankings as one of the 12 Brazilian highlights in architecture and design, Juliana Pippi operates in the national and global markets with interior design projects, collection development, and creative direction.
