The Yopo Armchair builds its identity through the contrast between the robustness of its solid wood legs and the delicacy of the organic joints connecting its planes. Its design establishes a clear dialogue with the Brutalist movement, reinterpreted through a sensitive lens, where structural strength coexists with continuous, welcoming surfaces. The volumes are precisely articulated: arms, seat, and backrest merge through smooth transitions that highlight the meticulous woodworking and the project’s formal intent. The upholstered seat and backrest offer comfort and ergonomics, creating a counterpoint to the sculptural character of the external structure.
