Bernhard Osann has been running his design studio since 2014 in Hamburg, where he primarily designs lights and furniture. He studied at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg.
Before Bernhard Osann became a designer, he completed an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker and studied sculpture, which influenced his core design principles. He plays with physical laws and geometric forms to find new unconventional solutions to simplify objects. The results are minimalist dynamic constructions that move, invite you to move them, and interact with space. During the design process, the function and productivity of objects are always in focus.
