Leon Ransmeier is an American industrial designer who founded the design practice Ransmeier Inc. in New York in 2010. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, his work has been included in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and the Corning Museum of Glass. A very hands-on designer, Ransmeier develops full-scale prototypes of all his works and believes in the idea that “use follows form.” For HAY, Ransmeier designed the Revolver Stool, Revolver Bar Stool, Revolver Table, Shortwave Dish Drainer, and the Chops toothbrush.
