Madadá Concept Object

Jacqueline Terpins

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The Madadá Caves, located in the Anavilhanas archipelago, Rio Negro, Amazon, are formed by sandstone rocks millions of years old. This region was once submerged in water, which through abrasion gave the material the appearance of large pebbles. These pebbles, resting upon one another, indicate pathways suitable for walking and reveal openings, crevices, where light enters. In an environment of predominantly vegetation, the Madadá Caves surprise with the exuberant presence of mineral in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The sculpture, crafted from two volumes of solid crystal, recreates the sensation of experiencing this phenomenon.

Available for sale only in Rio de Janeiro.
