Jorge Armchair
The Jorge Armchair is born from that memory. It does not imitate the 1960s; it reinterprets them through a contemporary lens. It preserves the generous proportions of that era, the honesty of the materials, the unhurried elegance. Yet it also brings clean lines and a precision of finish that only mature Brazilian design can deliver.
Jorge is for those who have worked all day and deserve a place worthy of rest. For those who host well, speak with depth, and know how to appreciate what is beautifully shaped. For those who understand that a piece of furniture can be, at once, functional and poetic.
The tall, slightly reclined backrest offers full support for the spine and head, inviting deep relaxation without compromising posture. Its trapezoidal shape—wider at the base and slightly tapered at the top—creates a geometry that is both solid and elegant. Two stitched buttons on the backrest, a detail directly inherited from the 1960s vocabulary, add personality and visual depth to the piece.
The arms are a chapter of their own. Wide and generous, at the right height for the elbow to rest naturally—whether holding a glass or simply being. The top of each arm features a fine wood plate that works as a small integrated table. An elegant, practical solution: the natural place for a glass of wine, an open book, or simply a resting hand.
