Delgadina Chair
Inspired by one of his wife Ana Carolina’s favorite books, by writer Gabriel García Márquez, Rodrigo Ohtake designed the chair that bears the name of one of the main characters, Delgadina—a nickname he gave his wife. Continuing his unmistakable lines, the piece echoes the lines design draws on paper, like a sketch that comes to life in three dimensions and becomes a chair. Always intrigued by three-legged chairs, Ohtake created a piece in which the slender, curvilinear structure is evident, while pursuing material minimalism, as well as a comfortable, stable seat, making the furniture appear to float lightly. To finish the piece, a piece of suede embraces the wooden backrest with the rear leg and closes at the front at an angle to provide the comfort of a supportive backrest.
