Sérgio Stark is from Minas Gerais. He began his career as a cabinetmaker in Rio de Janeiro. He became interested in design after working on the manufacturing and assembly of SR2 wooden houses with architect Sérgio Rodrigues. Today, he runs Stark Estudio, where he focuses exclusively on original design with a strong influence from Brazilian modernism, earning awards and exhibitions such as the Brazil Design Award and the Museu da Casa Brasileira.
