
Sergio Mazza
Sergio Mazza is an Italian designer born in 1931 in Milan. In 1955, he opened his own business and, since 1961, has worked side by side with G. Gramigna at the SMC studio, in the fields of furniture and industrial design. Among the many honors and awards he has received, highlights include an honorable mention at the Compasso d’Oro in 1960 for Artemide’s Delta lamp, and the silver medal for Appartamento Italiano at the 10th Milan Triennial. From 1967 onward, he began designing for Olivari. In publishing, he was co-director of the magazine “Ottagono” from its founding until 1988.
