Rodrigo Ohtake

Graduated from FAU/USP in 2009, with a period of study at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Rodrigo Ohtake is always in search of his own architectural style. Passionate about colors and free forms, he has collaborated with architects Mario Biselli, Alvaro Puntoni, and the French designer Patrick Jouin, in addition to working with his father, Ruy, from 2008 to 2016.
In addition to his work in studios, he served as curatorial assistant for the exhibitions Living in the Forest, curated by Abílio Guerra; The Heart of the City: Invention of Shared Spaces, by Júlio Katinsky; and Brazilian Architecture Seen by Great Photographers, by André Corrêa do Lago—a series of Brazilian architecture exhibitions promoted by the Tomie Ohtake Institute between 2011 and 2013. With this last curator, he continued the partnership to mount the exhibition Brazil: Modernism as Tradition for the Brazilian Pavilion at the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale, in 2014.
He also took part in the editions of the books Oscar Niemeyer: 100 Years, 100 Works and Ruy Ohtake – Architecture and the City, both by Ricardo Ohtake.
Since 2006, he has been developing his own projects, and in 2011 he opened the studio Rodrigo Ohtake Architecture and Design.
