
Ricardo Van Steen
Ricardo was born in São Paulo in 1958. A multimedia artist active since 1976, he has been a magazine editor and advertising agency owner. Today, he is a film director at the production companies Movi&Art, Fat Bastards, and Modern Times, where he works across various formats: commercials, vignettes, documentaries, and feature films. He is also the founder and creative director of TempoDesign, where for years he has consulted for the institutional departments of major companies such as Rede Globo, Globosat, Natura, and Riachuelo. He coordinates teams for journalistic projects, films, and brand development. As a visual artist, he has exhibited at the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (1979), Masp (1980), Paulo Figueiredo Gallery (1983), Millan Gallery (1996), Vermelho Gallery (2003), and Zipper Gallery, which currently represents him. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Museum of the Portuguese Language in São Paulo, the Masp Collection, the Porto Seguro Collection, and the Borusan Collection in Turkey.
