Jonas Forsman grew up in Småland, a region in southern Sweden famous for furniture production. He learned early on to conserve resources by using as little as possible and making the most of it. This became a guiding principle for him as a designer. He starts with function and sees if he can solve it in a new way, often using different materials or new mechanical solutions. Then he cuts away all unnecessary elements and lets the function speak for itself.
Jonas Forsman studied industrial design engineering in Gothenburg, where he has his own studio. He has received multiple Red Dot and Design S awards for his products.
