Joe Colombo was born in 1930 in Milan. In his brilliant career, he produced a series of innovations, being one of the most influential Italian product designers. He studied painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. In 1962, Colombo opened a design studio in Viale Piale, Milan, where he worked on interior architecture commissions.
