Javier Mariscal
Javier Mariscal, born in 1950 in Valencia, is a professional who has worked throughout his career as an artist, decorator, designer, animator, and director. A truly multidisciplinary creative, his studio focuses on drawing, where he developed an iconic identity with an almost naive and childlike stroke. In 1970, he left his hometown to study design in Barcelona, where he remains today. His work first gained prominence with the Bar Cel Ona logo and later with one of his greatest creations, Cobi, elected as the mascot for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. His creative process stems from an emotional approach, deconstructing the project’s origin to make it more user-friendly and form an affective bond.
