Isay Weinfeld
Architect Isay Weinfeld has created a series of sleek, minimalist designs for boutiques, restaurants, hotels, and residences in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, including the luxurious Hotel Fasano.
Born in São Paulo, he graduated from Mackenzie University’s School of Architecture, where he also taught Architectural Theory. He also served as a professor of kinetic expression at the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation’s School of Communications.
Over nearly 40 years of his career, Weinfeld has received numerous awards and has been widely published in Brazil and abroad, including three separate volumes devoted exclusively to his work. His furniture is characterized by simple angular lines and natural materials, and continues the iconic lineage of modern design and Brazilian architecture. Weinfeld’s new Domino cabinet for Geiger International is his first furniture collaboration with a North American company.
