Born in Porto Alegre on October 20, 1955, he graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Unisinos in Porto Alegre in 1983.
He lived in São Paulo from 1983–86, where he worked as a set designer for the leading TV commercial production companies
(Globotec, Jodafi, 5.6, Chroma, Diana, MovieArt), and in NY from 1986–1990, where he worked for Zoreh Rashid and Mark Epstein, developing commercial and residential projects.
In 1990 he moved to Berlin, Germany, where he worked for Fischer u. Abtahi Innenarchitektur as
commercial project manager and for Reiner Muller Architekten, developing restaurant projects, and in 1992 he returned to NY, working again for Mark Epstein while setting up Claudio Ziegler Designs that same year.
In 1994 he left Epstein, dedicating himself exclusively to Ziegler Designs, where he continues to work on architecture
and interior design projects to this day.
