Accustomed to designing furniture for Studio ro+ca clients, architects (and brothers) Carlos and Caio Carvalho used the quarantine pause to fulfill a long-held dream: launching their own furniture brand—named Basi.co Design. The idea of putting into production a few pieces of original design that translate the studio’s youthful, industrial-leaning style took shape in the Paralela collection. These are white or black tables that can be used separately or together (creating graphic patterns from the intersection of their openwork tops, reminiscent of grates), as well as a bar cart.
