Taper Chair

Exclusively different, exclusively Geiger

Traditional leather executive chairs have never been able to deliver the same level of health benefits as high-performance office chairs. Yet executives remain seated for as many hours throughout the day as other employees. Moreover, their expectations for comfort are just as high—if not higher.

Taper is an executive chair that offers the same high-performance, high-comfort, high-engagement experience that business leaders can enjoy on their commute in a luxury automobile.

Empowering the body

Taper’s backrest is shaped to provide Support Zones for musculoskeletal balance. Support is concentrated in key areas to encourage a more powerful seated posture: hips rotated forward; spine curved in its natural S-shape, chest open, shoulders back.

What the body needs

The shape and contour of the backrest were defined by studies conducted by Dr. Walker using his patented MEARS technology. Using his patented MEARS technology (clinically developed active response system, in English), Dr. Walker studied hundreds of individuals to identify what the human body needs to feel strong and comfortable.

Healthy movement

The Taper chair uses cutting-edge engineering to support movement in harmony with the human body. To counterbalance your body weight as you recline, the mechanism uses a pair of adjustable carbon-fiber leaf springs that control resistance. Modified to align perfectly with the geometry of the Taper chair, the tilt is easy to adjust, ensuring smooth, balanced movement.

Aesthetic reach

With a slim profile and balanced scale, the Taper chair is inviting for a wide range of people and spaces. Its visual expression is simple and clean, executed with the attention to detail for which Geiger is known. Every stitch is exactly where it needs to be to help the chair embrace the body and please the eye.

Executive performance

Taper’s award-winning design sets a new standard in ergonomic performance for executive chairs.
