Moliçosa Lounge Chair
Moliçosa is born from the union of two pieces deeply rooted in Brazilian identity: the Mole lounge chair, created in 1957 by architect Sérgio Rodrigues, and the Preguiçosa chair, created in 1950 by Studio de Arte Palma, by Lina Bo Bardi. In tune with the modern language of the 1950s, the pieces revive a strong element of Brazil’s cultural roots: the hammock, for sitting and sleeping, created by the Indigenous peoples of South America. Its simple solid-wood structure, crafted with precise joinery, suspends leather straps that receive comfortable cushions, allowing the user to settle in perfectly, as if in a hammock. The ottoman complements the relaxed seating. Aged brass or copper details add elegance and a contemporary touch.
