Itabira Centerpiece
The Itabira Collection is born from the nostalgic anguish of being born in a city surrounded by progress and destruction. The same opulence is a tragedy. We are inspired by family stories about the precarious small-scale mining that formed around the industrial mines in the 1970s in Itabira, Minas Gerais.
The name Itabira originates from the Tupi language and means shining (bira) stone (ita). The designs of the vases and centerpieces are inspired by the pans used in mining. The Jequitibá wood bar emerges as a poetic element. Fixed to the top of the vases, it defines two asymmetrical sides.
